	Logo Contest: Heather Martin, a junior at South Effingham High School won a state contest to create the logo for the career academies in Georgia. The logo can be seen in the top left hand corner of this web site. Heather won a MacBook laptop computer for her entry. read more

	Career Academies Grant: We are pleased to announce that there is a 2008 grant opportunity for teams interested in implementing or expanding career academies in Georgia. The total amount of money to be divided among the selected applicants is: $16 million which consists of $15 million in construction/renovation funds and $1 million in operation funds.
